Shanda Cherie Cothern, a twenty-five-year-old woman from the Angie area, was involved in a head-on collision with another vehicle that ended her life. She was found to be at fault for the accident, speeding much faster than the designated limit in the area. She had a juvenile passenger with her at the time who was injured yet survived.
